Brainstorm ideas for new posts
Do you find yourself thinking of great ideas for new blog posts when you’re driving or in the shower? If you do find yourself with a few minutes, it’s a good idea to sit somewhere quiet, open up your phone, and note down all the blog post ideas you’ve had recently.
As you make a note of ideas you’ll probably come up with lots more. Typing your ideas into a list on an app such as Trello is really useful as this will sync with the desktop version as well so when you sit down in front of your laptop later you’ll have lots of blog post ideas waiting for you.
Comment in Facebook groups
You’ve probably joined loads of Facebook groups for bloggers and then struggle to find the time to interact with other members. Does that sound familiar?
When you find yourself with some spare time why not log into Facebook and check out the latest messages. Leave your links on the daily posts, save the post, and then log back on later to complete the sharing of other people’s content.
Just make sure you do save the post so that you remember to reciprocate later that same day!
Respond to comments
If you are lucky enough to receive lots of lovely comments on your blog or social media posts, it’s important that you respond to them all. This helps you to build a loyal audience and encourage your followers to leave more comments in future.
Make sure you have the WordPress app on your phone so it’s easy to approve and reply to comments. With social media, you will need to respond to comments regularly or you may struggle to find them amongst all your notifications when you do log back in.

Add some pins
If you don’t (or even if you do) it’s a good idea to log into Pinterest on your phone and pin content that catches your eye to your boards. In 10 minutes you could post a lot of other people’s pins to your own boards as well as getting some inspiration from other pins.
Edit your photos
If your camera roll is full of photos, use your free time to edit some of these so that you can use them later on in Instagram posts, on your pins, or within your blog posts.
There are lots of free photo editing apps out there that you can install on your phone and are really easy to use. If you save your photos to iCloud, Google Photos or Dropbox you will easily be able to access them when back on your laptop.
What do you think of these suggestions? Will they help you to use your free time wisely and catch up on some of those quick blogging admin tasks?
