10 websites to source free photos for your blog

If you don’t have the time, or the skills, to take your own photos for your blog, then you’ll need to source images from elsewhere.

The right imagery can make a big difference to your blog. “A picture is worth a thousand words” as they say, and a good picture can capture the interest and engagement of your reader very quickly.

It’s important that you choose photos that fit in with your branding and relevant to your content and chosen niche.

Bloggers have various options available in terms of sourcing images for their sites. There are lots of stock imagery websites where you can pay for photos such as Dreamstime, Shutterstock and Adobe Stock to name a few.

However, if you want to find some free images with no copyright, there are also lots of websites where lovely photographers upload their amazing photos for you to use for free.

(Never just use a photo you have found on Google Image search – these may not be free to use and you could end up getting sued by whoever owns the copyright. Using royalty-free stock photo websites means you can avoid getting into trouble for stealing someone else’s photographs.)
